Meet Our Support Staff
Lynda - Office Manager/ Chiropractic Assistant
Lynda has been working in the chiropractic field for more than 25 years, most of which have been in the position of Office Manager here at Gardiner Family Chiropractic. For a short time, she left the chiropractic world to pursue other avenues. During her time away she was astonished to see how many people are taking and addicted to prescription painkillers. She returned to Gardiner Family Chiropractic to help others be aware that there is a holistic approach they can take to deal with pain.
Over the years, Lynda has been a witness to just how much chiropractic care can help the body, mind, and spirit. She loves her job and is continually amazed at the transformations that patients get from chiropractic care.
Lynda was born and raised in Maine and resides in Pittston with her husband, Chris, and their various animals. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, restoring her farmhouse, making stained-glass, and decorating.
Kathy - Lead Physiotherapist/ Chiropractic Assistant
Kathy was born in New York City and moved to Dresden when she was 7 years old. She graduated from Wiscassett High School and attended Hesser College in New Hampshire. She has been with Gardiner Family Chiropractic since 1994 as lead physiotherapist, and achieved her Chiropractic Assistant Certification from New York Chiropractic College in 1995.
She has continued her education ever since, taking various classes in Reiki, Integrated Energy Therapy, Quantum Touch, and a host of other healing therapies. She does volunteer work on a regular basis, participating in a local Reiki share for people in need, primarily for cancer patients, but also for people with other chronic health problems.
In addition to her work with Gardiner Family Chiropractic, Kathy’s other passion is working with animals. As an animal communicator, she works with animal companions and their humans to help them better understand each other. Kathy is also offering animal communication classes on a regular basis.
Kathy resides in Gardiner with her beautiful, wonderful cat family, and her extended family still lives in Dresden. She loves to travel, garden, cook, and read, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, especially out in nature.
Jen - Billing Specialist/ Chiropractic Assistant
Jen is responsible for all things related to billing, referrals, and insurance. She works very hard to ensure that our patients can access the benefits that they are entitled to. Since joining the Gardiner Family Chiropractic team in March of 2004, she has become a clinically certified Chiropractic Assistant, allowing her to perform physiotherapy. She is also trained at the front desk. So…you never know just where in the office she may show up! Jen works with every practice member’s EHR (chart) at some point in time and just loves meeting them in person so she can put a face to the name.
Jen is originally from Massachusetts. She came to Maine for college and stayed for love – both of her husband and of the state.
Jen’s personal experience with chiropractic care did not begin until she joined the GFC team. She has been amazed at how much it has helped her and her family. She no longer experiences the daily headaches of her past. Her son showed a great reduction in recurring ear infections and asthma flare-ups when he was a child. Jen loves being a CA because it fulfills her desire to be of service to others in a way that suits her talents and interests
Deanna - Front Desk/Physiotherapy/ Chiropractic Assistant
Before joining the staff of GFC in 2014, Deanna worked for 12 years at a local restaurant. The physical demands of working long hours on her feet took their toll, and one day Deanna injured her lower back. Her parents brought her to GFC for chiropractic care to alleviate her back pain with great success.
Since joining the GFC team, Deanna has also seen the frequency and severity of her chronic headaches diminish greatly with regular chiropractic care.
Deanna has been with our office for 10 years and in that time has learned all of the in’s and out’s of the office. She is primarily at the front desk but she also helps out in therapy, billing, and in the back office as needed. She is a certified Chiropractic Assistant.
Deanna enjoys cooking and baking, gardening, and hanging out with her husband , two dogs, two cats and adult son when he's home from college/fire department. No matter where you are in the office, there is a chance you will run into Deanna as she does a variety of different work throughout the office.
Lisa - Front Desk/Physiotherapy/ Chiropractic Assistant
Lisa joined the GFC team in November of 2020 after spending 15 years as an Advocate and Youth Educator in the Domestic Violence movement.
Though her work here as a Chiropractic Assistant is very different than her work as an Advocate, Lisa feels she has found a wonderful new work family.
Lisa can be found most days as Deanna's sidekick at the front desk or helping out in physiotherapy. She has found a creative outlet in creating our monthly Awareness Window, our interactive bulletin boards, and sharing our monthly Stress Tips, Health and Wellness Tips, and our Recipe of the Month. She very much enjoys engaging with our patients and loves sending them off with a smile or a laugh.
In her time away from the office, Lisa and her husband, Dan can be found working on projects at their house, spending quality time with Lisa's son, Josh, traveling to Quebec, and loving on their cat, Mahalo, who rules the roost in their home.
Sidney - Physiotherapy
Before working for Gardiner Family Chiropractic Sidney worked in the cleaning field. She started coming in to the office as a patient for low back pain that greatly improved. Now that she’s working here she get to share the joy of feeling great with the patients and learning something new every day.
When Sidney isn’t at her second home, she’s most likely at home with her husband, Nick, her dog, and her cat enjoying some anime. She also enjoys collecting odd and unusual things - mostly fun shoes and earrings.
